I think this update was needed, while the operation was wanted. IMHO an operation would have been a distraction for the community, not much more.

Idc about maps, idc about operation, idc about cases, idc about ranks. The ONLY thing they should be focused on now is implementing a WORKING anti-cheat. Why add all those things when your game can’t even be enjoyed from all the rage hackers. I shouldn’t have to use a 3rd party program to play your game without cheaters. Loading into Mills today looking around and realized why its called Mills. Windmills and Tulips everywhere. As a Dutchmen I got fking HYPED at the representation!! LOL!!! Needed something after losing to Austria today.

To be entirely fair the community set the expectations themselves so by extension set itself up for disappointment from a lack of operation or case

At this point, they literally can't do anything that would not piss off all the crybabies in the community. And it's our fault. Even if all cheaters get banned and an operation releases tomorrow, the amount of crying that has already happened and the amount of "this should have been in the game on release. Don't thank Valve for what we had to have got a year ago." will be astronomical. At this point, I just hope that every crybaby actually leaves this "broken, shit game with the worst devs ever" and we get left with the community thar actually wants to play the fucking game
